In particular, this organization aims at striving against discrimination of gender in the workplace. In addition, the NGO focuses on providing job opportunities for women in the workforce. In this context, Face Tunisia supports local female artisans in preserving the Berber culture of Sejnan. Thanks to the support of Finland Embassy, Face Tunisia puts a lot of effort to help these local clay ladies to promote and to improve their products. Face Tunisia trains female local artisans through workshops to integrate their products in the market.
Importantly, the pottery of Sejnan is a candidate to be listed as a universal patrimony by UNESCO. Hopefully, this initiative of Face Tunisia and Qartaj succeeds to empower female local artisans in the region of Sejnan.
